Vitiligo Educate Inspire & Support SXM, known as V.E.I.S.S., will mark five years as an association with its sixth annual Sunrise Walk and Zumba on Sunday 15 November at the Lady Ruby Bute Silk Cotton Grove Art Gallery & Estate in Friars Bay. According to V.E.I.S.S., registration costs US$10 per person and the event is open to everyone.

V.E.I.S.S. said the sunrise walk will leave the estate at 6am AST, travel toward Friars Bay Beach and return to the estate. Zumba instructor Learie E. Hall will lead a session from 7:10am to 8am, followed by refreshments and prize presentations.

The association said participants who attended earlier editions are encouraged to wear V.E.I.S.S. shirts from previous years and may personalise them for prizes. People without an event shirt may wear purple or white. The association said a limited selection of shirts from earlier editions may be available in various sizes.

V.E.I.S.S. said the event is its final fundraising activity for 2026 and will help fund educational workshops, member development activities, team-building initiatives and community outreach programmes planned for 2027. It also plans to explore collaboration with people and groups in Anguilla, Saba and Guadeloupe.
