Port St. Maarten Group says the Simpson Bay Lagoon Authority Corporation, SLAC, plans to move its office and public-facing services to the Ferry Dock opposite Princess Juliana International Airport’s parking lot. The move is a temporary arrangement linked to refurbishment work at the Simpson Bay dock, which closed on Wednesday 7 October.

PSG said vessel clearance services are being carried out at the Great Bay Clearance Office in Point Blanche while the SLAC office at the Ferry Dock is being prepared. Immigration services are also located at the Ferry Dock, according to PSG.

The Point Blanche clearance office serves customers from 8am AST to noon and from 1pm to 4:30pm, with the office closing at 5pm. PSG said those hours will also apply at the temporary Ferry Dock facility.

PSG said it will announce when the SLAC office is ready to open at the Ferry Dock.
