Tropical Depression Fay moves south-southwest over central Atlantic

Tropical Depression Fay was moving south-southwest over the central Atlantic on Monday 28 September, the US National Hurricane Center said in its 11am AST advisory.

At 11am AST, Fay was near latitude 27.1 north and longitude 44.6 west, about 2,040 kilometres west-southwest of the Azores. The National Hurricane Center said the depression had maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h and was moving south-southwest at 15 km/h. Its minimum central pressure was 1011 millibars.

The advisory listed no watches or warnings.
