Anguilla student Amarni Webster wins CTO Regional Tourism Youth Congress
Anguilla student Amarni Webster won the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Regional Tourism Youth Congress on Thursday 8 October in Guyana.

Anguilla student Amarni Webster won the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s 2026 Regional Tourism Youth Congress on Thursday 8 October in Guyana, according to the CTO. Webster was selected from 18 young delegates and received the title Regional Junior Minister of Tourism.
Webster, a student at Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School, presented on developing young talent, strengthening skills and expanding access to employment opportunities in tourism, the CTO said. A team representing Carnival Corporation will mentor her.
The congress was held during the State of the Tourism Industry Conference under the theme “Caribbean Tourism Through the Eyes of Tomorrow,” according to the CTO.
Raia Cargill of Sunland Baptist Academy in The Bahamas placed second. The CTO said she will serve as junior CTO secretary-general and be mentored by CTO Secretary-General and CEO Dona Regis-Prosper. Jahneil McKenzie of Daryll Jordan Secondary School in Barbados placed third, while Janica Adams of the Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies received special mention.
Jolé St. John of Tobago, the 2025 winner, chaired the congress, which assessed delegates’ research, public speaking, critical thinking and responses to tourism issues, the CTO said.
