A 15-year-old student from Anguilla won the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s 2026 Regional Tourism Youth Congress, held in Guyana on Thursday 8 October during the State of the Tourism Industry Conference, according to Carnival Corporation.

Carnival Corporation said it was the congress’s lead sponsor and provided the first-place prize. The company and Acordis International Corporation donated a laptop for the winning student’s continued education.

Marie McKenzie, Carnival Corporation’s senior vice president of government and destination affairs, served as chief judge. Jill Stone of Blue Group Media and Jim Brody of Tripscout also evaluated student presentations, Carnival Corporation said.

The congress brought together students from across the Caribbean to present views on regional tourism issues and ideas for the industry’s future, according to Carnival Corporation.
