Golden Rock foundation holds bra-decorating event in Statia

The Golden Rock Cancer Awareness Foundation held its “Bedazzle Your Bra” event at the Elrine Leslie Methodist Auditorium in St. Eustatius on Saturday 10 October 2026. According to the foundation, participants of different ages decorated brassieres and displayed their designs during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The foundation said it is holding several October activities. With the Statia Government Public Health Prevention Clinic, it will host a presentation on cancer and heart failure by cardiologist Dr. Emiko Bird-Lake of St. Maarten Medical Centre on Thursday 15 October 2026. The presentation is scheduled for the Gertrude Judson Bicentennial Public Library from 7:30pm to 9pm AST, and residents are invited.

The foundation also plans a pink hike on Saturday 17 October 2026. It said the activity will launch at the historic core site, with a start anticipated at the Quill.
